The Merle Anderson Memorial Bridge is located within an unnamed park in Lexington. This is a residential area and the road that run across the bridge is E. Boomer Street.
This is a wood bridge dedicated in 1997. Each side wall has three octagonal-shaped window openings. The shallow pitched roof has wood shingles and a cone-shaped cupola with wood shingles and a weather vane.
A framed memorial on the west side of the bridge reads:
Merle R. Anderson
Nov. 24, 1909 - Nov. 12, 1996
