Lathrop Skate Park - Skateparks on Waymarking.com

This is a nicely constructed skatepark with numerous corporate and civic sponsors, including the local Rotary Club. Enlightened city governments are becoming aware that to minimize unwanted activities by the younger set, a popular form of recreation is necessary. This has led to the construction of such formal activity areas. From the iskatehere web site:

Lathrop Skate Park is a 7,440 sq. ft. "Above Ground" style skatepark designed by the talented team at SITE Design Group. More information can be found at SITE's Lathrop Skate Park project page or at www.ci.lathrop.ca.us.

The Lathrop Skate Park is located at the corner of Seventh & L Streets. The hours of operation are 9am to dusk seven days a week. Skate Park users must wear the appropriate safety gear and follow the skate park rules. The skate park features one of the largest half-pipes in the Central Valley and offers a variety of skate elements to challenge the beginner and the advanced skater.
