Standing on the east side of the State Capitol Building is an oak tree dedicated to former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger by his family. (Considering the fallout from his affair with his nanny which ultimately produced a love child and a divorce, I wonder if the family will try to cut this tree down? :) ). There is a bronze plaque mounted on a wooden stand in front of the tree that reads:

In honor of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger

He came to California as the Austrian Oak and this California Oak
represents the strong, inspiring, magnificent force he was for millions of
Californians. He worked to serve the people of California and fought to
preserve the Golden State for future generations. This mighty Oak
stands as a tribute to the strength he brought to his service as
California's Governor.

With love from your family

Reading this plaque inscription almost made me puke in my mouth a little. In my opinion, the 'Terminator' did very little for the state of California as Governor and add his personal scandalous behaviors to the mix, I can only hope his days in office will be forgotten, the sooner the better. He should have stuck to making lame action movies and stayed out of politics.

Location of the tree: State Capitol Grounds (east of building)

Type of tree: California Oak
