This plaque is near the peace pole on the Village Green in the heart of Palm Springs. It reads:

"McManus Village Green

THIS PUBLIC PARK WAS DEEDED TO
THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS IN 1970
BY THE McCALLUM DESERT FOUNDATION
IN MEMORY OF
PEARL M. McMANUS.

FURTHER IMPLEMENTING
HER LIFE-LONG PLAN TO IMPROVE
AND BEAUTIFY PALM SPRINGS.
THE BUILDING TO THE LEFT WAS THE
ADOBE HOME OF PEARL MccALLUM McMANUS
AND HER PARENTS IN 1884."
