Located at the NW corner of Capitol Park and north of the State Capitol Building are a group of three deciduous trees. One particular tree contains a placard monumented on a metal post that reads:

"MEN & NATURE MUST WORK HAND IN HAND"

This tree dedication in 1982 was celebrating the birth of our 32nd President of the United States, born on January 30, 1882.
