The 2.8m tall by 4m wide yellow frame produced by local artist Porky Hefer, is a permanent interactive artwork and is part of the Table Mountain N7W legacy project. It provides visitors with the perfect vantage point for taking a picture of themselves, friends and family with Table Mountain, as a spectacular backdrop.
"While Table Mountain defines our city, it is much greater than that. It is a natural world heritage site that belongs to all South Africans and, the world" says Cape Town Mayor, Alderman Patricia de Lille.
The Table Mountain frame was unveiled on Friday 27 September, 2013 right in time for us Canadians to enjoy it during our visit to V&A Waterfront on October 17.
