Depicted pedestrian suspension bridge, called "Swinging bridge", you can find in village Khndzoresk in Syunik province of Southern Armenia. Khndzoresk is widely famous for its gorge with picturesque rock formations and ancient cave settlement. The artificial caves, some of which are currently used as stables and warehouses, used to be inhabited till the 1950s.
The 160 m long bridge weight 14 tons and connects the two sides of 40 m deep gorge dividing the village into so-called "old" and "new" Khndzoresk. The brigde, built by Khndzoresk businessman Zhora Aleksanyan in memory of his parents, was given to public use on June 9th, 2012. The goal of having this bridge was to attract tourists to the village.
