This miniature railway is located within the African Lion Safari zoo/reserve and is free to all visitors. The roughly 5 kilometer long trip through a section of the reserve takes around 15 minutes to complete. A number of zoo animals can been observed along the way, and the operator gives a narrative during the trip.
The train is a miniature replica of the 1863 C.P. Huntington Steam engine. Information about that train (which is now on display at the California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento, California) can be found here (
