From Abraham Lincoln Online (visit link)
"You will find this full-size bronze likeness just a block from the museum, located in the southwest corner of Union Park. Sculpted by Colorado artist Mark Lundeen, it depicts Lincoln relaxing on a bench with a copy of his Second Inaugural Address in his hand. There's just enough space beside Lincoln for visitors to pose with Springfield's favorite son or just rest their feet.

Installed in July 2006, this welcoming and friendly-looking statue was donated by Rick and Kim Lawrence for Siciliano, Inc. as a tribute to the workers who built the presidential library and museum. You also can see a copy of the statue outside the University of Illinois alumni center in Urbana."

That last point is true - see my waymark (visit link)

From wikipedia:
"Abraham Lincoln February 12, 1809 – April 15, 1865) was the 16th President of the United States, serving from March 1861 until his assassination in April 1865. Lincoln led the United States through its greatest constitutional, military, and moral crisis—the American Civil War—preserving the Union, abolishing slavery, strengthening the national government and modernizing the economy. Reared in a poor family on the western frontier, Lincoln was self-educated..."
