The priceless (originally Romanesque) Church of the Nativity of Virgin Mary stands on the outskirts of the Strasin village. It dates from the middle of the 13th century. In the second half of the 14th century (1369) it was known as a parish church. In the middle of the 15th century Puta Švihovský, the owner of the contiguous Rabí castle, had the church reconstructed. The current look is from the big Baroque reconstruction (1736 - 1739). After that it became an important pilgrimage place.

Na severním okraji obce Strašín stojí významná církevní památka - puvodne románský kostel Narození Panny Marie, který byl založen v polovine 13. století. Od druhé poloviny 14. století (1369) je uváden jako farní kostel. Okolo poloviny 15. století ho nechal opravit majitel nedalekého hradu Rabí Puta Švihovský a hlavní oltár byl ozdoben sochou Panny Marie. Soucasný barokní vzhled dala kostelu rozsáhlá prestavba v letech 1736 - 1739. V této dobe se stal Strašín významným poutním místem. Poutní tradice zanikla po druhé svetové válce.
