The Burney Flag Pole is located near the center of a long narrow park between Main Street and Mountain View Road. On a platform at the base of the flag pole are three plaques. The dedication plaque reads “THIS FLAG WAS DEDICATED OF JULY 4, 1997 TO ALL VETERAN’S, POW’s, MIA’s AND THEIR FAMILIES BY THE PEOPLE OF BURNEY AND THE INTERMOUNTAIN AREA.” The second plaque is titled “In Memory Of” with a list of individuals. The final plaque is a list of donors.

A plaque on the base of the pole is titled STATISTICS OF THE BURNEY FLAG POLE.
The pole is 112 ft. high.
The summer flag is 20 ft. x 30 ft.
The winter flag is 10 ft. x 15 ft.
The pole at the base is 14 in. and is 6 in. at the top. The base is 10 ft. x 10 ft. x 10 ft. deep with 36 yards of concrete in the base.
The stanchions that hold up the pole are 4 in. x 10 in. and they are 10 ft. in the concrete.
The pole weight is 1 1/2 tons.
