The Bohemian Forest (Sumava) is a low mountain range in Central Europe. Geographically, the mountains extend from South Bohemia in the Czech Republic to Austria and Bavaria in Germany. They create a natural border between the Czech Republic on one side and Germany and Austria on the other.

The mountain village and holiday centre Srní is situated about 16 km south of the town Sušice in the National Park Šumava near the Vydra river.

The former settlement of timbermen was founded at the beginning of the 18th century.
Several mountain buildings with walls covered with shingle can be seen there. The Church of the Most Holy Trinity, which originates from the beginning of the 19th century, is one of them.

Horská obec a rekreacní stredisko Srní leží jižne od mesta Sušice v okrese Klatovy na Šumavských pláních v Povydrí v Národním parku Šumava.

Puvodne drevarská osada byla založena pocátkem 18. století. V obci se dochovala rada chalup horského typu s cástmi sten chránenými šindelem. Výjimku netvorí ani místní kostel Nejsvetejší Trojice, který pochází z pocátku 19. století, jehož steny jsou šindelem také cástecne kryty.
