This marker was placed by the Multnomah Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in honor of Allen J. Davie, one of the founders of the Oregon Territory Provisional Government. The text of the marker reads:

TO HONOR ONE
OF THOSE
PATRIOTS WHO ON
MAY 2, 1843
FOUNDED THE
PROVISIONAL
GOVERNMENT AT
CHAMPOEG, OREG.

The marker is affixed to Allen Davie's grave marker at Aumsville Cemetery.
