A project spearheaded as a multi-purpose building in 2006 by the Rotarians, this pavilion/bandshell is the result of donations by a total of at least 46 generous benefactors. It is a large stone and wood structure with large laminated wood beams supporting the roof.
In front of the bandshell is a gently sloped grassed clearing in the surrounding wooded area, creating a shallow amphitheatre for the attendees of concerts and other presentations that take place through the year.
City Park, aka Yep Kanum Park, is the largest in the city offering large, well treed open areas, this bandstand, baseball field, tennis courts, swimming pool, children's playground, picnic pavilions and more.
