From the Sisters Ranger Station, travel generally NW on US20 for 9.4 miles to the intersection with FR14. Turn right on FR14 and continue 4.4 miles to the junction with FR1419-800 at Riverside Campground. Bear left on FR1419-800 and continue about 0.2 mile to the corner on the left.
Type of survey mark: 2-1/2" brass cap on iron pipe
What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?: The witness corner is about 210' W from FR1419-800 in an E-W barbed wire fence line. There are two Carsonite posts, both with PROPERTY BOUNDARY decals, and one also with a LAND SURVEY MARKER decal. Found two ponderosa pines with healed blazes. Both have LAND SURVEY MONUMENT signs on the reverse sides, and the nearer one has a yellow BEARING TREE tag.
What property is this mark defining?: The witness corner is 18.0' W of the true sixteenth corner location, the site of a power pole marked CEC 104714. Land to the SW of the true corner is private property, else National Forest.
