Prospect Arboretum - Prospect, OR - Arboretums on Waymarking.com

Located in the heart of Prospect is the Prospect Arboretum. The wooden sign at the entrance on Mill Creek Drive mentions that this arboretum was a collaboration between the Forest Service, Boise Cascade, Pacific Power, Prospect School and community volunteers. Boise Cascade is a wood products company and Pacific Power a utility company.

This poor arboretum has been in neglect for a number of years and visitors will notice trees that need pruning as well as piles of concrete and dirt lying around. There is a memorial plaque located near a gazebo within the arboretum that memorializes a woman who most likely promoted the construction of this park. She passed away in 1982, so I would assume this arboretum is nearly that old.
