Allegany State Park Ski Jumps - ASP, New York - Ski Jumps on Waymarking.com

From 1933 to 1941 the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) constructed numerous sports and leisure facilities at Allegany State Park in the far west of the State of New York. Among these were also two ski jumping hills with a mighty stone-made take-offs, which can still be seen today. Numerous competitions took place on the K50 and K30 between 1935 and 1979. The jump competition was very popular and drew large crowds. The landing basin of these jumps narrowed at the bottom to cross over a creek and on occasions some jumpers would not make the bridge and instead ended up in the water.
