Tank is also a Benchmark. Located near the intersection of US-58 Business (Madison Street) and Highway 92 (Washington Street).

At the site: There is an interesting pictorial history of Boydton in the northeast corner of the Courthouse property. Included is a photo of this tank, taken in 1945. The railroad station shown in the pictures no longer exists. However, if you watch carefully as you drive north on Washington Street, you can spot the supports for old "cross bucks". The station site will be immediately on your right. There is a nice storefront restaurant on the east side of the Courthouse. Many stately old homes can be seen while driving on nearby streets.
