Olive Casey

CASEY, Olive (nee Wright) August 20, 1906[sic]-January 30, 2009 We celebrate the wonderful life of Olive, born Burton-On-Trent, England in her 101st year. She will always be part of our hearts and lives. She taught us to love, look after others; appreciate nature and all that life had to offer. Her sunny smile and attraction to the colour yellow was her to approach to life. In her career life she worked at the Post Office in Timiskaming Q.C. She spent many enjoyable years at Brighton Beach in Ottawa, and working at the Library N.D.M.C. Ottawa. Her work reflected her love of books and reading. Olives life was connected to early aviation in Canada. We all enjoyed her delicious cooking that she was always willing to share. Predeceased by her parents Frances and John Wright, her late husband Peter Casey, her son Peter John and her brother Wilfred. Survived by her son Morley (Miriam) of Manotick, Ontario, and her daughter Frances (Robert) of Ottawa. Her sister Joan Broatch, Nanaimo, B. C.; grandchildren: Laurie Pinard, Kelly (Elliot) Tremblay, Curtis, Shawn(Maureen) and Robin Casey and great-grandchildren Austin and Luke Tremblay, Taylor and Lindsay Casey. Warmly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Memorial Service will be held at the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel, 2500 Baseline Road on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations to Carleton Lodge would be appreciated.
