The Red Cross Building was built in 1919 to provide a place for soldiers in the hospital to relax away from the hospital environment. The Red Cross provided writing material, books, movies and other diversions to recuperating patients. After the need for the Red Cross services decreased the Red Cross turned the building over to the U.S. Army. The building was then used as an NCO Club. The building has now been rehabilitated and is used as a meeting facility.
