This grey limestone tree trunk headstone is located in the Carterville Cemetery. This is a variation of a typical tree trunk on a stack of 4 cut logs with the carved lily in front of the logs. The logs are angled with the trunk. The Seal is towards the top of the trunk where the trunk branches. A cut branch appears between the seal and the inscription. The inscription reads:
William S. Vandiver
Born Mar. 10, 1869
Died Jan. 11, 1902
Tho' lost in sight
in memory dear
Erected by Woowmen of the World
