Started as a joint venture by the Stayton Lodge #64 I.O.O.F. and the Masonic lodge, the Lone Oak Cemetery contains more than 4,000 marked graves. It is immediately adjacent to St. Mary Catholic cemetery. The cemetery covers about six acres and the oldest grave sites are spread evenly across the grounds. Burials for I.O.O.F. members are not segregated into any one section - they are dispersed throughout the cemetery. The cemetery is well maintained and is located across the street from Weddle Funeral Services. The main entrance gate includes an "IOOF" above the cemetery name on the upper right-hand side of the gate.
