The Czechoslovak government built a system of border fortifications from 1935 to 1938 as a defensive countermeasure against the rising threat of Nazi Germany. Infantry blockhouses and military fortress are a legend in the territory of Czech Republic.
Infantry casemate N-S 82 Brezinka is a two-storey building set in a sloped terrain. Since 1990, it has been in the care of the Military History Club of Náchod, which permits visits according to the actual visiting hours. The interior space belongs among the best reconstructed in the country. The interior is fully equipped and furnished with period armature and gears (barracks for non-commissioned officers and ranks, machine room, filter room, shooting rooms etc). The most valuable exhibit is an anti-tank cannon with production number 173, installed here in 1938, during the occupation it was transferred to the Atlantic Wall in Norway. It was returned by the Coastal Artillery Museum of Norway in 2002.
