This pretty arched bridge is located on the Houghton Trail between the falls and the Lake Superior shoreline. Note the safety foot treads on the wooden planks (this is the only “hill” on the path). The trail has several natural treasures along the way, the waterfall at “Echo Dells Ravine,” aged pine trees, and weathered sculpted sandstone along lakeshore. The trail is located in the Houghton Falls Nature Preserve; the foot trail is a level 1.34 mile trek (round trip) and is open during daylight hours.
