Midnight Lake occupies a glacially scoured bedrock basin about 5.7 miles northeast of Diamond Peak. The lake is at an elevation of 5351 feet and covers about 9.5 acres. Midnight Lake occupies a closed basin so there is no outlet stream.
Access to the lake is via the Yoran Lake Trail from Odell Lake and is around trip of about 5 miles. Parking is available at Yoran Lake Trailhead near Shelter Cove Resort on Odell Lake.
