The lighthouse at Cape Point has long been decommissioned, but it is still a popular tourist destination. Visitors can choose to take the stairs from the visitors center, or the funicular (railcar), but it still requires a stiff climb up a rugged set of stairs to actually reach the lighthouse. Once there, visitors will want to rest a bit and enjoy the vista, the binoculars and the orientation table, before heading back down.
