The Baroque chateau originated in 1788 when it was rebuilt from the original medieval fortress from 1388. It was rebuilt in the Empire style after 1800 and it is surrounded by a large natural park. In the chateau there are period interiors from the 19th cent, with reminders of Božena Nemcová, a Czech writer.

Barokní zámek z r. 1788 vznikl prestavbou puvodní stredoveké tvrze z r. 1388. Empírove byl prestaven po r. 1800 Katerinou Vilemínou Zahánskou, známou jako „paní knežna" z „Babicky" od Boženy Nemcové. Zámek je obklopen rozsáhlým prírodním parkem. V zámku jsou dobové interiéry z 19. stol. s pripomínkami na Boženu Nemcovou a její „Babicku".
