Penticton is a city of about 35,500 at the southern end of
Okanagan Lake and the northern end of
Skaha Lake. It is actually situated on a plug of land left by the most recent glacier which divides the valley, creating the two lakes, Okanagan and Skaha. The Okanagan Valley being the major tourist destination in the southern interior of BC,
Penticton gets a lot of sun seekers annually.
This sign is on the west side of what is known as
Munson Mountain, really just a big hill, above the east shore of Okanagan Lake between Penticton and
Naramata, on the northeastern outskirts of the City of Penticton.
