Original Location: N36 37.550, W078 33.233, on the east side of Clarksville, VA. The former railway bed and the train depot site were submerged by the creation of the John H. Kerr Reservoir. The tracks were relocated, and the depot was moved to a new site on the west side of town, near the Hardee's Restaurant.
Present Location: In the 1990's, the depot was moved thirty miles southwest, to a several acre site along US-501, on the south side of Roxboro, NC. Later, the Clarksville depot was joined by the depot from Woodsdale, NC, which has been converted into office space.
Age and Construction: An exact date is not known. However, records of USGS benchmarks placed in Clarksville in 1905 make reference to the distance from the station. I estimate the date to be in the 1890's. The building is wood. Condition: Excellent.
