In Cruger, just off US 24 is the Cruger Township Hall.
The town hall is located on the east side of County Road No. 3, and is about 200 ft north of the intersection with US 24 and adjacent to a railroad crossing. A grain elevator is located just beyond.
The town hall is a simple white building with a peaked roof. The sides are either aluminum or vinyl. The office entrance is on the east end. There is a garage door at the west end - probably a multi-use facility. In the door is a posting of future meetings.
The township of Cruger is an unincorporated area in Woodward County. According to Wikipedia, it has 1363 people (2000 Census), which is more than some incorporated municipalities. It is between three larger municipalities: Washington to the southwest, Eureka to the east, and Metamora to the north. It was formed from Olin Township in 1863.
There isn't a lot about this municipality, most likely due to its small size. The township has less than 500 units (based on counting units listed in data on citydata.com). People probably work all over, including nearby Peoria, employed in private businesses, government, and other industries.
A web site for the actual township was not found. The web site for Woodford County (Euraka is the County Seat) is here: (
