The Great Orme interactive 3D Model.is located at the Summit Complex building The Model has buttons, when pushed indicate on the map local attractions. Also information rolls give information on the local wildlife.

"Summit Complex was originally ‘The Telegraph Inn’ from where messages were relayed between Holyhead and Liverpool advising of the imminent arrival of sailing ships laden with valuable cargo.
Later, much re-built as ‘The Summit Hotel’, it served as the 19th hole for the Great Orme Golf Club that closed in 1939. The site of the golf course is now a sheep farm. During the second world war it reverted to a signalling purpose and became the RAF Great Orme Radar Station. Attempts to revive the Golf Club after the war failed and the restored Hotel was purchased by the middle-weight boxer, Randolph Turpin. Since when, despite Turpin’s bankruptcy and suicide, the hotel has continued to be associated in various ways with his name (e.g. Randy’s Bar) and there is considerable cult publicity." (visit link)

"The Great Orme is run as a nature reserve by the Conwy County Borough Countryside Service, with a number of protective designations (including Special Area of Conservation, Heritage Coast, Country Park, and Site of Special Scientific Interest), being an area 2 miles (3.2 km) long by 1 mile (1.6 km) wide. It is home to a long-established herd of about two hundred feral Kashmir goats (acquired from Queen Victoria). There are numerous paths for walking on the summit, including a section of the North Wales Path, a long distance route. About half the Great Orme is in use as farmland, mostly for sheep grazing."
