In Washington, within the 5 Points facility for the city, is the Washington District Library.

The library is located off N. Wilmore Road, on the west side. The brick building is large - the library is on the right side. There is an entrance directly into the library or you can enter through the center entrance of Five Points (take a right after entering the building). This building is a multi-use facility and includes a gym and theater.

The library system has both a main library (this one) and a branch library to the east along IL Route 8 in the Sunnyland neighborhood.

The library offers many services including a Drive-up window, home delivery, computer/internet services, talking books, and lamination services. They also have meeting spaces available. The library also schedules lectures, anime viewings, and other activities.

The date of opening is the opening date for the main branch at the Five Points facility. The library completed their mortgage obligations after only five years and had a celebration on 10/22/2013
