The present Koorda Post Office was built in 1937, although the first Post Office in the town was built in the early 1920's following the arrival of the railway
Koorda is approx 250km northeast of Perth in the Wheatbelt of W.A. the town is the administrative centre of the Koorda Shire, the name is derived from the aboriginal name for a married person
