10008 + 1980 Brockville, Ontario - Canadian Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

You'll find the benchmark disk on a small island on the shores of the St-Lawrence river near Brockville, Ontario. The island is very close to the shore. At about 50 meters, there is a private property. The island is accessible from the nearby cemetery boat launch at about 300 meters.

The island seems too small to have an official name. No name is shown when you look at it from an interactive map. However, geocachers call this island "Zombie Island" in honor of the 1st geocacher to have found the cache placed on the island.
