In London, the fashion designer, Lady Holiday is robbed of her jewels. The Muppet reporters Gonzo and Kermet get onto the case and are sent to Britain by the Daily Chronicle. Their plane journey ends up with them being parachuted into a pond in Haddenham.
In London they stay in a run down hotel,the Happiness Hotel, and meet up with the other Muppets. Kermet goes to see Lady Holiday, but instead meets Miss Piggy and mistakes her for Lady Holiday. Miss Piggy goes along with the illusion.
At a restaurant Lady Holiday loses a necklace, stolen by her brother Nicky and three of Lady Holidays models. During the robbery Miss Piggy’s deception is discovered and she is framed for the robbery. Nicky and his friends intend a more daring robbery, the Baseball Diamond in the Mallory Gallery. Unfortunately for them Gonzo over hears their plans. Kermet and the rest of the Muppets decide to foil the robbery in order to free Miss Piggy.
At the Mallory Gallery the Muppets arrive at the same time as the robbers. Miss Piggy, meanwhile escapes and hijacks a cement lorry and makes her way to the Mallory Gallery. Ditching the cement lorry for a motorbike, Miss Piggy arrives at the gallery and knocks out Nicky. Miss Piggy is exonerated and the reporters return to the USA.
