The wastewater treatment facility of Bubendorf was built in 1972 and renovated in 1990. It is located in the agricultural zone between Bubendorf and Liestal and resposible for the wastewater of Bubendorf, Ziefen, Hölstein, Seltisberg, and Ramlinsburg, an area with a population of about 20,000.
This site is also the remote control center for about 24 small unmanned facilities in the wider area.

aerobic micro-organisms,
sedimentation tanks
