This beautiful lizard can be found at the entrance to the Northwest Library (Patience S. Latting Library), OKC's newest metro library branch.
The lizard is approximately 8 ft. long, with most of that length his tail which is curled up along his side. The face is orange, with big black eyes, the tail and legs are green and scaly, and the feet are yellow. The torso of the reptile is where the mosaic pieces are laid. Most of the pieces (which are all colorful) are small triangles, with some large round pieces placed to show depth and texture.
The mosaic-covered lizard makes for a beautiful art piece as the sun shines down on it and the pieces sparkle. This is one of four sculptures at the new library, and all four are by sculptor Solomon Bassoff-Faducci.
