The birdhouse is part of Creekwalk Garden, a green space created between the buildings that run along the south side of Main Street. The sign on the street says "Creekwalk Access," but a 2010 article shows it was created as a garden for visitors.

"The garden/park was an effort achieved through a partnership with the Prattville Downtown Unlimited merchants and the City of Prattville. The Horticulture Division turned the lot, left empty after the Cobb Building fire several years ago, into a wonderful green space for all to enjoy in the heart of downtown." As one leaves Main Street, the birdhouse is located on the right side. It has a rustic look and appears to be an active house, though I did not see any occupants.
