Since the Middle Ages sails between Sambeek Afferden and ferry.
in 1975 the old ferry, only two cars could transfer, simultaneously replaced by "Pierre". In 1992 a new ferry, the "Pierre II", taken into service. And this ferry sails to the present day back and forth between the Brabant and Limburg shore.
