About three miles from here ran the old Stagecoach Rd. Facts are the same as posted on the first Stagecoach Road marker posted on Hwy 44 and 77. This was known as the " Seven Islands Road" because it passed the seven islands in the Ocmulgee River. Parks Mill was an important point from the earliest settlement of Greene County. Many prominent pioneer settlers lived nearby.
