A small community in Wright County, Minnesota, with a population of 1,962 as of the 2010 census. This reflects a 7% gain in population from the 2000 census.

The area was first settled 1855 by Morgan Cochran, who later sold his land to Charles Goodsell in 1863.

The town site was developed as a railroad station and named after philanthropist John Howard.
