Prior Lake - View Royal, BC - Nude Beaches on Waymarking.com

While there are several unofficial clothing optional beaches in the region, this one at Prior Lake is the only one that's officially sanctioned. The park operator, the Capital Regional District (CRD), formally allows the small beach and dock at Prior Lake to be clothing optional. The Prior Lake Naturist Preservation Committee (PLNPC) is a group of naturists that liaises with other entities and helps ensure socially acceptable behaviour at the lake. The CRD allows the naturist lifestyle at Prior Lake because the PLNPC are a conservation-minded group who has promised not to seek to expand the dock, beach or parking areas, or make any changes to the surrounding natural environment.

The lake can be accessed via a 100 metre trail from a parking area on the side of Highland Road. In addition to maintaining the dock, the CRD also provides a garbage can next to the beach and a portable toilet just up the trail.
