I recovered this U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey azimuth mark from 1948 in good condition. It is monumented on top of a small boulder and SW of the junction of Forest Service Rd 9718 and a dirt track road leading west to the former Swan Lake Lookout Tower. The disk face is stamped 'SWAN LAKE' with the year '1948'. The disk has been reshaped to remain flush with the surface of the boulder. The accompanying station mark and other reference marks were also recovered in good condition. My posted coordinates and the to-reach description from the last good datasheet log are adequate for station recovery with the only main difference being mention of the Swan Lake Lookout Tower signs. The lookout tower no longer exists and the road signs no longer exist either.
