Rates vary considerably depending upon what amenities you need (electric hookup, etc) but the basic rate for tent camping for NY residents is $25/night. Goes up to $55/night for cabins.
Watkins Glen State Park has three separate entrances: the upper entrance is accessible from Rt 409, the lower entrance is in the village on RT 14/414, and the camping, picnic and swimming pool entrance is off Rt 329. To find it, take your best route to Rt 14 and 414 (these routes join at Fourth St, and stay joined for several blocks to the south). Just south of the lower entrance, on the othe side of the creek, you will find Rt 329 heading up hill. Follow this road for less than 1/4 mile, and follow the park signs to the right. The first park office is where day users get their parking pass. Campers continue toward the stone pavilion and turn left up the hill to the campground office, where both prepaid registrations and unregistered campers are processed.
