The Pennsylvania Volunteer Fire Company a Montgomery County unit also housed their ladder truck there until Rockledge formed a fire company. Then the Pennsylvania Co. disbanded & gave their ladder truck to Rockledge. The original Philly F. D. unit was a horse drawn chemical engine. In 1912 a horse drawn steam engine was supplied.
