Die alte Lahnbrücke datiert zurück auf das Jahr 1315, als der Bau begonnen wurde. Beendet wurde dieser im Jahre 1354. Nach dem 2. Weltkrieg wurde die Brücke 1946/47 teilweise neu aufgebaut und verbreitert.
Heute führt nach wie vor eine öffentliche befahrbare Straße über die Brücke, wobei die Haupverkehrsstraße die ca. 200 m östlich gelegene, wesentlich breitere Lichfield-Brücke ist.

This old stone bridge spans the river Lahn in Limburg, Germany. The original bridge was build between 1315 and 1354. As it was partially destroyed in WW II, it was rebuild in the years 1946/47.
Today, there is still a road running over the bridge, which is open to public traffic. Nevertheless, the main road is located approx. 200 m east, where the newer Lichfield Bridge spans the river.
