A row of surfboards - each one a different color and adorned with one of the unofficial city logos - is waiting to guard your bike, whether you're here to pay your water bill, attending a city council meeting, or dog forbid, bailing someone out of jail (the Police Department is in the building opposite). Huntington Beach is officially Surf City, thus the shape of the tender.
Your bike will be sheltered somewhat as the rack is under the bulk of the civic center building, where the front door of the city office is located. For this reason, the above coordinates may be a bit off, as the building cuts off the GPSr signal.
This tender is also close to shopping and restaurants at Seacliff Village across the street, Huntington Beach High School, several Orange County Transit Authority bus stops (buses have racks for two bikes each) and a free half-hourly shuttle to downtown Main Street and the
HB Pier leaves from here on weekends during the summer, and on Tuesday evenings for the weekly street fair/farmer's market.
