The burnt-out shell of the House of Reeves furniture store in Croydon has been demolished.

One of the town's landmark buildings, it took less than an hour for the store to be destroyed in Monday night's rioting.

Trevor Reeves and his father Maurice spoke of their distress at losing the family shop which had stood on the same site for nearly 150 years.
