Uhlerstown Covered Bridge is in a tiny town near a lock along the Delaware Canal State Park. It has a great recreational path & interpretive signs along the canal in the area. The town & canal are nestled between a cliff on one side & farm fields.

The bridge is great for walking & has nice views of the canal, path, lock & buildings from the windows.

Description of Covered Bridge: “ Located on Uhlerstown Road in Tinicum Township, Uhlerstown Covered Bridge is constructed of oak and has windows on both sides and was built in 1832. It is the only covered bridge in Bucks County that crosses the Delaware Canal. Michael Uhler, canal boat builder and the first postmaster founded Uhlerstown in 1871. Height Limit: 11 ft 3in; Width: 15 ft; Weight Limit: Check local posting; Length: 101 ft.” On 3/9/14 the posted weight limit was 12 tons.
