The building is located at the intersection of Union Street and William Welch Way. It is a brick building three to four stories tall with a peaked roof. The sign and entrance is on Union Street.
According to the Crime Mapping site linked to the police web page, there were 156 crimes committed in the last six months. Framingham is an urban town with a population over 66,000 residents, and many industrial and commmerical operations.
The first police station was built in the Saxonville section of town in 1871. Today, in addition to the headquarters in downtown Framingham, there is also the Pelham substation.
